Rain, Rain, Go Away

Not sure if you can tell in this picture, but it is pouring out.

It has been raining nonstop here for the past 2 days and I am sick of it. It is summer and I want sun!! I should know better than to make pool plans, because they always fall through. About the only thing the rain is good for is long naps (makes for nice dark rooms) and beautiful plants. My flowers have really perked up with the rain.

We have been stuck at home today because Alex is sick. She woke up last night around 10 pm with a high fever. I gave her some medicine and then we sat in my bed watching the news for a few minutes when she threw up all over both of us. Lovely! We got to the bathroom where she continued to get sick a couple more time. Poor thing! She has never thrown up before (other than when she was a baby). We took a quick bath where she just shook because she was having chills due to her fever. We got back in bed after that and eventually fell asleep. She woke up at midnight and was sick again, but, knock on wood, she hasn't thrown up since. She still has a fever, but took a long nap, so hopefully it was only some 24 hour bug. This flu is such bad timing because my sister and 7 month old niece are in town. We didn't get to hang out with them today like we had planned. So bummed!! Hopefully we can get together tomorrow and I can get some pics of the kids together.

This picture doesn't have much to do with this post, but I thought it was so funny. Alex wanted her grandmom's hair towel on her head the other day. She thought she was too cute!

GO SPURS GO!!!!

I hope she is feeling better and the rest of you don't get it. Despite your rain, the grass looks so pretty and green. Believe it or not we are bone dry and really could use some rain. I am off to water my grass!!

Hopefully Alex is feeling better. At least she was sick while it was rainy out.

It is nice what rain does for the flowers. Hopefully some sunshine is on its way.

It is so pretty and green there. At least your plants stay alive-plants are so hard to keep alive here in Arizona.

Hope Alex feels better! Being sick is the worst.

My friend Angie is out there right now-she is from Nebraska-do you know a girl named Angie Thompson (her last name is Hovore now)-she is from Lincoln. Anyway, have a good week!:)

Poor little girl. It's no fun to see your children so sick and miserable. Well wishes her way!

Oh I remember that rain when we lived in Kansas. You'll have sunny skies soon (just trying to be optimistic)! :)
