Why is it that the thunder and lightning always rolls in right at bedtime? Arrrrrrh!

Oh i love the thunder and lightning at night!
I love for it to thunder at night, but only if my kids happen to be visiting grandparents. Maci is TERRIFIED and awakens EVERY time it storms at night.
I never thought of that but it is so true, especially this summer! Quincy is my first to be afraid of storms and it thunders every night when it is my turn to put her to bed!
Oh I remember those nights in Kansas and I always wondered the same thing! Many nights were spent with kids in our arms or on the floor of our bedroom..
It is quite fascinating, though and we actually miss those storms!
the girls (and me, too) aren't fond of storms. we have too many big old trees in our yard for me to feel safe!
